Sustainability

Cris-Tim dairy products are made at Ecoferm, and this is what makes them special. Ecoferm is an integrated agro-business model. In other words, the crop farm supports the cow farm, and the milk is processed in a modern factory, using delicious and healthy recipes, resulting in a variety of products: sour cream, yogurt, crème fraîche, buttermilk, kefir, cheese, and other equally tasty products.

We are the first producer in the dairy category to use an innovative packaging in which the PET and lid are made from 100% recyclable plastic. Additionally, 25% of the plastic used in Mugura bottles is made from recycled plastic, all for a cleaner environment.

What does 100% recyclable plastic mean?

100% recyclable plastic packaging means that it is a packaging that does not contain substances (additives, colorants, barrier materials) that could hinder the recycling process.

What does 25% recycled plastic mean?

The composition of the PET bottle for CRIS-TIM DAIRY is currently 75% new PET and 25% recycled material (rPET), sourced from bottles previously placed on the market.

Where can I recycle this PET?

The end consumer can ensure that this PET is collected separately both at home (where they will collect separately—plastic, paper/cardboard, and wet fraction—household waste) and at collection points, where the PET should be thrown into the street collection container—the yellow container.

What does the recycling process involve?

The recycling process starts with the collection of plastic and PET bottles, sorting them by material/color, and the image below shows the stages from the moment of collection, baling, the grinding stage into flakes, and re-granulation so that it can be reused in the preform injection process.
